The second projected competition took place on April 30th. The judge, Roy Maddison, gave some helpful and informative comments on all of the images and he congratulated participants, saying that there were some interesting photographs.
After only few hours work this morning by John, George and myself, over 60 prints have been hung and now fill the first floor gallery space of the Central Library on Angel Row in Nottingham.
Our competition secretary has produced a handy and detailed guide explaining how to enter NOPS dpi competitions including the correct resizing method using Adobe’s Photoshop and Lightroom products.
In the past few months Ben Rawson our competition secretary has submitted to the Japanese International Photographic Federation’s (JIPF) annual exhibition and had 2 images accepted. This was the first international exhibition that Ben has ever submitted to, so when he learnt of his acceptance it was with great joy.
I have to admit that I felt reasonably comfortable taking a 23 point lead advantage from the first leg at Mansfield, it turned out to be much closer in the end!
The 58th Annual NEMPF Exhibition (NEMPF is the North and East Midlands Photographic Federation) kicked off in Mansfield on January 12th with many excellent photos on display from Outlaws members, including Rick Martindale, Michal Tekel, Lester Woodward, Sue Jackson, Ben Rawson, Ian Pinn, Scott Wilson and Chris Newham.
