Outlaw First Print Competition March 2023
On the evening of 30th March, the Outlaws held their first Print competition of the year at the church hall, St James’s Church, Mapperley. The judge for the evening was Dave Hollingsworth who we had met at a similar time of year in 2022. It was then that he judged a print competition and praised the standard of prints produced, following this years judging he commented that the quality of prints submitted was exemplary, fine praise indeed for the Outlaws.

There were 21 entries in the open category and 22 entries in the themed, which for March 23 was Nottinghamshire. Dave was very well informed on the theme and stated that it was good to see such a variety of detailed prints, covering a range of Nottinghamshire subjects. On the evening in the theme category ten prints were held back for final judging and the winning print was Malcom Nabarro’s “The Moon Rising Over St Mary Magdalen Newark”. The open category had eleven images held for final judging and it was won by Nigel Stewart’s image “Waiting To Board The Train”.
