    Step back in time with Through My Lens, a captivating slideshow that captures the heartbeat of everyday life from the 1970s and 80s — seen through the eyes of photographer and traveller Andy Monk.

    Originally shot on vivid slide film and now lovingly restored in digital format, this visual journey begins in the bustling streets of Nottingham and Yorkshire, where factory workers, market traders, and buskers reveal the raw spirit of working-class Britain. The show then widens its scope to explore life beyond the UK — from café culture in Paris to sun-drenched plazas in Spain, and the vibrant street scenes of far-flung corners of the world.

    Each image tells a story of people and places in transition — the changing fashions, the optimism and grit of youth, and the shared humanity of street life before smartphones and social media. Accompanied by an evocative soundtrack and Andy’s own reflections, the presentation offers both nostalgia and discovery, painting a rich portrait of a world both distant and familiar.
