The second projected competition took place on April 30th. The judge, Roy Maddison, gave some helpful and informative comments on all of the images and he congratulated participants, saying that there were some interesting photographs.
After only few hours work this morning by John, George and myself, over 60 prints have been hung and now fill the first floor gallery space of the Central Library on Angel Row in Nottingham.
Our competition secretary has produced a handy and detailed guide explaining how to enter NOPS dpi competitions including the correct resizing method using Adobe’s Photoshop and Lightroom products.
In our first competition of the year the “Members Choice” which was held on Thursday 29th January 2015, we had a total of 16 prints and 26 projected digital images (PDI) submitted. The catalogue is out, the exhibition is on display, and the results are in. Well done to all the NOPS members who have submitted images, print or digital, in the 2015 N&EMPF Exhibition and a very hearty congratulations to all those that have had acceptances at any level.
Following the successful 2014 Awards Night we present a showcase of selected images from the years competitions in this slideshow which was put together by Ben Rawson, with all images supplied by club members.
Our very own Michal Tekel has not one, but two images, selected for the above competition which was judged over the festive period. Michal’s images are included in a 2015 calendar, which I am sure Michal will be only too happy to show us in the New Year.
