This is an exhibition which draws from a world wide pallet of photographers and I am proud to say that the two NOPS members who have entered have both had images accepted.
1st November saw our annual inter-club battle with Melbourne Photographic Society. In previous years this has always been a close run battle, so we felt that we needed to put on our A game to make sure we had any chance of winning.
September sees our 4th print competition, with the theme of seaside and a judge that hasn’t been to the club before so new territory for everyone. With lower than average entries, the standards are very high as usual.
On 25 June we held our 3rd print competition of the year, with the usual open section and the theme this time was “Tall”, we had Steve Myall as the judge
NOPS 2nd print competition took place on May 30, with 33 images in the open section and 28 in the themed section, the theme being music. It was good to see the thought and effort that had gone into the images in the themed section, a lot of work taken specifically for the competition.
Open & Theme “Triangles” Competitions have got off to a good start this year with our 1st projected open & theme having 92 submissions. The judge, Peter Cheetham, had his work cut out with a high standard of images in both sections, as usual there were many useful comments to help us improve our work.
