See the full competition ruleson the website, in the members area. This is a stand alone competition and does not go towards the posts for the Outlaw of the Year trophies.

This is an open competition restricted to images that have not been entered inany previous NOPS competition (fun competitions excluded). All the members attending on the competition evening score the photographs. This competition has two sections; the Print section and the Projected Digital Image(PDI) section.

You may enter both the Projected Digital Image (PDI) section and the Print section, or if you prefer you can just enter one section. For this competition you can enter up to four images into each section.

Cost - Members - £2, Visitors - £4.

Outside Event - Mixed Martial Arts Club - Beeston

Tonight we will be the guests of the mixed martial arts club in Beeston, the gym is fitted with mats on the floor so it is requested that members take off their shoes before entering the gym area. Tripods are allowed if required.

'Principals of Photography'

A photographic journey of self-improvement. Learn how to up your photo game with award-winning cameraman Phil Savoie. This talk covers topics not often discussed from the science of our vision, lens testing & optical physics, eyeline and the psychology of perspective as well as the odd location war story. The thrust of Principles of Photography is to share easy, practical shooting methods resulting in a noticeable improvement straight away. The aim is to educate, increase visual intelligence and inspire while having fun doing it. Pro tips for participants to grow as photographers- to produce higher image quality, advance storytelling and develop artistic acumen. Illustrated with local British images, covering all genres from landscape to sport, wildlife, people and astrophotography. Approximately 50 minutes, 5 minute break, 50 minutes with Q&A
