Thursday 3rd June – Flash Photography Demo

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Some of you might have met Steve who was a guest at the last club competition. He is actually a photography lecturer specialising in studio and portrait work.  We have invited him to give us a tutorial session on June 3rd, he will be bringing kit and a model, also some money off offers at Calumet.  The idea being that he does a half hour talk, then we move onto shooting the model.

This should be an excellent opportunity to work with studio lights/flash with expert guidance available.

Outlaws Trip to Rutland Water

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

Last Thursday’s no meeting night was the perfect chance for an evening outing to catch a sunset over Rutland Water.

A good Outlaws turnout saw a pleasant, but not stunning, sunset in a beautiful tranquil setting. The church provided a perfect chance to grab a last minute ‘reflections’ photo for next week’s competition theme!

The photos are starting to pop up on flickr, here are a few of them.

New Website Launched!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

As you have probably (hopefully) noticed, the Nottingham Outlaws now have a brand new shiny website.
The idea is to make the site a much more central part of the club, with regular updates on what’s coming up in the following weeks, recaps on competitions, and interesting ideas from the members themselves. If you are interested in contributing content to the site, let us know and we’ll sort you out with some details.

Feel free to have a poke around, check out the gallery pages, and let us know when you find something broken!.

Things to do on a no meeting night

Monday, March 15th, 2010

There is no official meeting on Thursday this week due to there being a committee meeting, but a few members have arranged alternative activities.
I believe the committee meeting is being used to choose prints for the James Maude Battle.

Chris is arranging a night visit to an abandoned stately home somewhere for long exposure and light painting fun. See Chris for details.
