August PDI competition report

Last Thursday evening saw the latest internal outlaw of the year contributing event held online once again, John Young presents a report on the proceedings…

On the 27th August we held our August Open PDI competition with the scores being carried forward to our ‘Outlaw of the Year’ competition. We continue to hold our competitions in the virtual world using Zoom. Our thanks go our excellent judge Carol McNiven Young. We are always indebted to judges. Without them we would be at a loss. There were 34 entries and they gave us an enjoyable evening of viewing excellent images accompanied by Carol’s informative and valuable commentary. Scores of 18 went to Lester Woodward for both The Curve and Egyptian Vogue, Lois Webb for Symbolised Abundance, John Young for Geevor Tin Mine, Sue Jackson for Sunrise Over St Thomas A Becket and Malcolm Nabarro for Costa. There were two scores of 19 given to Nigel Stewart for Woodland Flare and Jack Worsnop for Lindisfarne Castle Storm Brewing. The winning image with a score of 20 was John Young’s Ancient Cornwall.
