April’s internal PDI competition report
After an enjoyable internal PDI competition at the Outlaws clubroom on Thursday that saw some excellent images that were praised by the guest judge for the evening, John Young presents his usual report…
We welcomed Peter Yeo to the club on 26 April to judge our Projected Image competition. This month’s theme was ‘Primary Colours’ and Peter congratulated us for our ingenuity on complying with the theme. Our thanks go to Peter for his hard work and welcome comments on our images. There were 37 images in the open section and 42 in the theme section.
In the open section John Young scored 17 for his Tarricina Long Wing butterfly; Scores of 18 went to Sue Jackson for Husky Racers, Andy Jackson for Sunset Silhouettes and Ice Landscape, and Simon Goode for Ladybower. 19 was scored by Sue Jackson for Almost Symmetrical, George Reilly for In The Eye of the Photographer, Chris Houldsworth for Holy Island Refuge and Lois Webb for Morning Mist on the Cotton Grass. Three images scored 20 so congratulations to Michael Harrison for I’m Eighty Two You Know, Lester Woodward for The Dancer and for our section winner Lester Woodward with Shadow Riders.
In the themed section scores of 18 went to Sue Jackson for In Dry Dock and also for Ladybird Ladybird. Scores of 19 went to Lester Woodward for Contemplation and also Flaming Glass. There were two scores of 20, the first for Michael Harrison for I’m Fed Up Mum and for our section winner Mark Taylor with Nin Hao.
