Lester’s – Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP) – Success
A few weeks ago I posted an image of some medals that had arrived in the post
The medals in question were from a photographic competition in Montenego,
Photo Grafis 2026

As you all know I have achieved a CPAGB award, and was being asked by a number of club members if I was going for the DPAGB award.
I had also noted that a number of fellow photographers have FIAP and/or BPE distinctions.
So I decided to look into these distinctions instead of the DPAGB.
It appears to be remarkably straightforward, you just enter affiliated competitions, get the appropriate number of acceptances and you are eligible for the awards.
Ah the catch, so to use the FIAP distinctions you need to apply for a FIAP card and this costs 50 euros.
Also FIAP have changed the criteria in early 2026 so you need to get more acceptances to qualify, they have helpfully added a new FIAP distinction, so you can become NFIAP
NFIAP 25 Acceptances 5 different countries 10 different images
AFIAP 75 Acceptances 15 different countries 20 different images
Nevertheless I have entered 5 different country exhibits and fortunately been able to amass 60 acceptances, so that’s a tick in all the boxes for a NFIAP. Amongst these acceptances I gained a FIAP Gold medal, which has now turned up in the post.

The images that have been awarded medals so far are
Ayla Mono Dance

Serbia – Salon Gold

Serbia – Sipa Silver
