Jill has always been interested in photography for as long as she can remember, she began taking it more seriously in the late 1970’s and started taking 35mm Slides. After first seeing AV in the early 1980’s she realised this was an excellent way to show her many Slides. So she started attending AV events, from Club through to International level and seeing many different styles of AV, she quickly learned from the experts and began making her own sequences. In 1995 the first adjudication for the new Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) distinctions in AV were held. Jill entered and successfully gained her CPAGB-AV with a maximum 15 points, being the first person to gain the award. She has gained Acceptances and Awards in several International Festivals over the years with both Slide/Tape and Digital sequences. Moving to North Wales in 2002 she served on the North Wales Photographic Association (NWPA) Committee and was elected President of the NWPA in 2011/12.
