Following an event packed March, last Thursday saw the first NOPS print competition of the year held in the outlaws clubroom. Competition Secretary John Young presents his report.

The first print competition of the year held on March 31st was judged by Ralph Bennet. There were 27 images in each section and we enjoyed seeing a wide variety of images including some very good ones. The open section and overall winner was Lois Webb’s Pen-y-Cwm Beach. Also in the open section a score of 18 was awarded to George Reilly for The Old Rowing Boat, Lester Woodward for Lady in Black and Jack Worsnop for Misty Sea View and Ice Plants. A score of 19 went to Chris Houldsworth for Lloyds Reflections and Jack Worsnop for Old Wine Bottles. Tom Cross gained the second score of 20 for his Sunset Over Temples at Bagan. This month’s theme was Trees and the section winner was Lester Woodward with Moonlight Amongst the Silver Birches. Lois Webb also scored 20 with her Map of Winter. Three 19s went to Lois for her Forest of my Dreams, John Hodgkinson for Soon to Bud and Lester Woodward for Brushing the Sky. 18s went to Lois Webb for New Forest, John Young for Woodland Autumn Mist and Jack Worsnop for Shattered Tree Trunk. Well done to everyone who entered, it was pleasing to see all the images.
