NOPS exhibit in the League of Friends Gallery
Following the NOPS exhibit in the League of Friends gallery at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, external competition secretary Lester Woodward presents a short report.
Once again the Outlaws exhibited at the QMC in the League of Friends Gallery, this is a bi-annual event. We had 32 images on display and they seemed to create a deal of interest with the passing public and QMC staff alike. We were reasonably successful selling 7 framed and mounted prints. Both Tom and Diana sold 2 images with the remainder made up by Paul, Lester and Chris. Still very difficult to predict what would sell, as ever it was that personal touch. Images of Nottingham University was bought by past students and the old man of Storr sold to a recent visitor to the area.
Many thanks to all the exhibitors and people that helped promote the event, special thanks to Lois for her poster design and creation, plus Flick and Tom for help putting up and dismantling.
We almost managed to escape unscathed but broke 2 pieces of glass on the dismantling!, so if anyone has any spare 400×500, please let me know.
We are still working towards having an exhibition every year and also having a table top sale on maybe the first and last day of the event, so we can offer unframed prints and cards etc.
If you know of any locations where can exhibit, please let a member of the committee know.
We managed to raise over £40 for the League of Friends.
