Second print competition report

Thursday 28th May saw our second print competition with the usual open section and a themed section entitled moonlight. A big thank you to our judge Peter Yeo who said that we presented him with a great set of images.

The theme brought out a great variety of shots some featuring the images from our club outing to Attenborough Nature Reserve. There were genuine moonlit shots and some photoshop creations cleverly turning day into night. The section winner for the themed images was ‘Penmon Lighthouse by Moonlight’ taken by Michal Tekel. Lester Woodward’s ‘Moonlight amongst the Silver Birches’ scored a 19. The overall winner was Bob Richard’s excellent portrait, ‘Red Cleopatra’, entered in the open section. Lois Web gained a 19 with ‘Winter Wardrobe’ as did John Purchase with ‘Tubeways’ and Lester Woodward with ‘Calotes Calotes’. All the entries were enjoyable images and made for a great evening.
