Mimo Khair
My creative process as an Art PhotographerMimo will present (via zoom) her artistic process and how she applies her love of the moment to make connections with her subjects, wherever she is in the world.
Mimo Khair is a Lebanese/American freelance photographer currently based in Germany after 12 years in Shanghai, China, 16 years in New York and before that Lebanon. She has travelled the world during the last 30 years in search of stories and images. She began her photographic journey in New York City where she lived after studying and has since exhibited and published her work globally focusing on social issues, human rights and children’s rights as well as street photography and the arts.

Architecture Through the Viewfinder – three decades of professional architectural shooting.
With over three decades in commercial architectural photography, Nottingham based MartineHamilton Knight D Litt Hon, FHEA, FRPS speaks about her life in the industry. With a major publication about the business of architectural photography published by Routledge (currently shortlisted for the Architectural Book Awards 2024), her evening is a mixture of ‘how to’ for those interested in shooting architecture, plus a chronological section on Martine’s time in the industry. Technological and economic factors affecting business and output throughout that period are discussed, together with insight into her current research, projects and the writing of Photography for Architects.
She also runs specialist architectural workshops for the RPS, Line and Light Photography School (www.lineandlight.co.uk), and lectures on the BA/MA in Photography at Nottingham Trent University so there’s a rich heritage of teaching photographers over the last decade too.
Martine’s speaking style is lively and informal; people say they learn a lot!

Not alone but alloneNik is a professional portrait photographer with a natural light studio in Retford. She has developed a signature black and white style which she demonstrates in all genres of photography. She will present her current projects exploring how we are all part of the same thing using conceptual landscape, street portraits, studio portraits and still life compositions.
