Outlaw of the Year competition results for April.

Thursday evening saw the latest leg of the Outlaw of the year competition held at the Nottingham Outlaws club-room in Carlton. As usual this DPI competition featured an open and a themed section with a winning image selected from each by the guest judge for the evening. Getting back into normal routines Competition secretary John Young, having returned from his recent trip away, presents his report…

On Thursday 25th April we welcomed the return of Jacqui Jay Grafton as our judge for the April Projected Images competition. Thank you to Jacqui for her interesting and informative commentary on our images. We are always indebted to our judges who give up their time to look at our entries. The theme was tattoos and there were 28 entries in the open section and 21 in the themed. In the open section scores of 18 were awarded to Lester Woodward for his Shadow Cyclist and Malcolm Nabarro for his First Light. Scores of 19 went to Nick Pearce for Walking out to sea, Jack Worsnop for Tongariki Sunrise, Lois Webb for Power Napping and Mark Taylor for Beach Fishing. The winning image with a score of 20 was Seeking Salvation by Michael Harrison.

In the theme section scores of 18 went to Malcolm Nabarro for Wolf Man and Tom Cross for Ozzy. Lois Webb scored 19 for her Painted Personality and there were two scores of 20 awarded to Lester Woodward for his Hard Luck and for the winning image by Elizabeth Bromley with her Art Deco Tattoo. Thank you to everyone who entered our competition and gave us an entertaining evening viewing some great images.
