Members choice competition report.

After a couple of weeks off for the festive period the Nottingham Outlaws welcomed 2018 with the first club competition of the year on Thursday evening with the members choice in which club members vote to determine the winners, Outlaws internal competition secretary John Young presents his report…

The first Club competition of the year was the Members choice competition held on Thursday 25th January. There were 14 print entries and 36 PDI entries. There is no invited judge for this competition, instead all members who attended on the evening voted for their top six favourite images in each section. The winning PDI image was Michael Harrison with his ‘Picking the Winner’. Tabby came second in PDI with her ‘Cloudscape’, Stella Newman was third with ‘Vixen’, Chris Houldsworth was fourth with ‘Llangrannog Sunset’ and fifth was Michael Harrison with ‘Market Day’.

In the print section John Young was first with his ‘The Pier at the End of the Day’. Chris Houldsworth came second in the print section with his ‘Holocaust Memorial’, Simon Goode was third with ‘Aup Littlen’, John Young came fourth with ‘Run Aground’ and Chris Houldsworth was fifth with ‘South Stack Sunset’.

In February we will start the monthly competitions that count towards the Outlaw of the Year Competition with an open and themed section. The theme will be Extraordinary Weather and the judge will be Alan Young.
