A thrilling Richard Balter Challenge, hosted by Rushcliffe Photographic Society, saw 11 clubs from across the East Midlands – from Arnold to North East Lincs – battle it out under the rapid fire scrutiny of seasoned NEMPF judge Tony Pioli, who cast a critical eye over images from 55 different photographers.

The Nottingham Outlaws Photography Soc meeting this coming Thursday 15 April 2010 will be a talk by Paul Money, a well known astronomer and photographer.
For those of you who have not seen him at NOPS before, his talks are always well presented and he is a very entertaining speaker. This will be a good night and we look forward to seeing you there.
Print Competition – Open and Theme “Vanishing Point”

Last Thursday was the second print competition of the year and consisted of an open section and a themed section, “vanishing point”.
There were a lot of great entries and some really interesting feedback from the judge, professional photographer John McLean.

This Thursday is competition night. It is the second print competition of the year and will have the now usual open section and a themed section. The theme is Vanishing Point so get digging around for your best photos of narrow streets, long piers, tall buildings etc. and get your titles to Ben by Wednesday evening.
James Maude Club Battle 2010

Last Thursday saw the Projected Digital home leg of the James Maude Club battle. The Outlaws were victorious with a score of 339 to James Maude’s 323.
